Home // Support // Bypassing Failed IDV
If the Signer failed the IDV, as a Notary you can bypass the process through the Secured Signing account.
The example below shows what the Signer sees when they fail the IDV. When the Notary joins the session and clicks Go to Meeting tab, this will show the Signer failed the IDV with no green circle indicating the signer is not in the room.
When the notary sees “Failed IDV” notification they should completed the process below. Notify the signer to access the document again.
Bypassing failed IDV can be done through the In Progress tab. Click on the >>I icon then the + (Signers Name I.e. William Gimbel) to check the status of the IDV.
After clicking Allow Signing, the notary can initiate the session from their email/invitations tab and accept the signer into session. The signer can log back in, by entering their security code. Once in, the signer will be directed to the session.
