Notary: Tips To Help Complete A Successful RON Session Equipment Test: Please ensure the signers/witnesses/guests test their equipment before the RON session with the Notary https://networktest.twilio.com/.Identity Proofing (KBA): Signer(s) should be over 18 years of age with a valid social security number. And a US work/financial/residential history. Signer(s) must pass Knowledge-Based Authentication Quiz with 4 out of 5 questions correct within the 2-minute time limit. Signer(s) can attempt the KBA Quiz 2 times within a 24-hour time frame. If any signer fails the second time, the session can only be rescheduled after waiting a mandatory minimum of 24 hours.Credential Analysis – ID Verification: Signer(s) should have a valid Driver’s License, State Issued ID, US Passport, or foreign Passport. (The system supports more than 4,000 IDs) and must pass Credential Analysis and Facial Recognition to join the RON meeting.Cell Phone: Signer(s) must have a Mobile Phone Number and Email Address.Non-US Citizen: If the Signer is not a US Citizen or does not have proper ID – a Credible Witness can be substituted to identify the Signer. The Credible Witness must meet all RON Requirements. Please consult with your SOS to find the appropriate rules for this.Real estate transactions – MISMO standard: Identity Proofing (KBA) and Credentials Analysis (ID Verification) needs to be done immediately before the RON session. Signer (s) should start the process 20 minutes before the RON meeting and wait for the Notary in the meeting lobby. If for any reason, the session is cut off before or during the RON session, signer (s) need to re-do KBA and ID verification again to re-join the RON meeting.
