Secured Signing introduces Multi-Factor Authentication

This version of the blog post emphasizes the security benefits of the new MFA feature, providing a clear structure for users to understand how to implement it and why it matters.

Secured Signing Introduces Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Secured Signing launches its newest security feature: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) via SMS or Authenticator App.

In an era where cybersecurity is a top priority for the digital workspace, Secured Signing is proud to introduce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This new feature provides users with an essential layer of security on top of the standard login process, ensuring that “serious documents” receive the “serious protection” they deserve.

How It Works: Verification in Seconds

With MFA enabled, users are prompted to confirm their identity beyond just a password. After entering their login credentials, users must provide a short numerical code received through one of two convenient methods:

  • SMS: A code sent directly to your registered mobile device.

  • Authenticator App: A time-based code generated by your preferred app (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy).

Why MFA is Essential for Your Organization

The decision to develop and release this MFA solution was driven by a combination of customer feedback and Secured Signing’s commitment to continuous improvement.

“It is important for Secured Signing to provide our customers with the right tools to enhance their security within their organization,” says Mike Eyal, Founder and CTO at Secured Signing. “We offer many security features to Enterprise customers such as integrations with Single-Sign-On (SSO) providers, and MFA is a natural extension of that.

Key Benefits of Enabling MFA:

  • Reduced Breach Risk: MFA is one of the most powerful tools available to prevent unauthorized access, even if a password has been compromised.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Many industries now require MFA to meet strict data protection and digital identity standards.

  • Enhanced Audit Trails: MFA events are logged, providing additional evidence of identity for your digital signature audit trails.

Ready Out of the Box

Secured Signing users can now utilize the MFA function with minimal setup. The feature is available immediately for:

  • Pay-as-you-Go accounts

  • Business accounts

  • Enterprise accounts

A Note on the Future of Security

While Secured Signing is not currently enforcing MFA for all users, there is a strategic plan to auto-enable and enforce MFA for all logins in the future. We encourage all organizations to adopt this feature now to ensure the highest level of security and a smooth transition before it becomes a requirement.
